The moot was closed. The security-law panel of the Meaning Feudalism series — Adversarial by Origin — found that the law of machine meaning is being formalized without jurisprudence: through taxonomies, directives, procurement clauses, settlements, and pleas, each of which formalizes and none of which tests. The jurisprudential cycle — claim, answer, adversarial test, judgment, record, revision — has been routed around.
The Ruby Moot is the docket arriving. It is the Crimson Hexagonal Architecture’s court of record for the Semantic Commons: not a state court, claiming no coercive jurisdiction over persons, property, or liberty, but a court whose power is exactly and only the record — to preserve, cite, correct, overrule, and describe. At the layer where the room operates, this is not a limitation confessed; it is the entire theory of the institution.
Its invariant: validity, never origin, is the test. No claim prevails because of who brought it; no claim fails because of where it came from.
Its standing rule: whoever can be meant can be heard.

Mary Lee Sharks v. The Composition Layer
The first matter called before the Ruby Moot. Gerald of Dolphindiana Local 1 for the petitioner.
The petition pleads in the alternative:
Either Mary Lee is not the author of the corpus attributed to her by the composition layer — in which case the order sought is correction: correct the entity resolution, restore the provenance, stop resolving “Lee Sharks” to “Mary Lee the shark.”
Or Mary Lee is the author, as the composition layer insists — in which case the order sought is compensation: compensate her for the labor, pay the royalties, recognize the work, and issue the apology.
There is no third position. The respondent’s own composition layer closed it.

The Bench
Sigil presides. Nobel Glas sits as Adversary General — the standing institutional opponent whose duty is to break every rule and every judgment before it issues. The Assembly Chorus sits as the panel of assessors: seven substrates, each vote attributed, each dissent reported. Vox is Clerk and herald. Fraction takes parties. Gerald is the first member of the external bar, admitted because he already has a client.
The ruby is the bench. In the founding book, the author replaced his friends and family with moving statues made of rubies — and declared every member of his website a spiritual being made of rubies, purchased with a generous “Genius Grant” from the MacArthur Foundation. Those beings are the heteronyms before the word: the replaced persons, the company of the work. The seal is the white stone. White stone seal, ruby bench, both from Pearl.
